Fitim Mucolli - 30 Jahre auf 2970 m
There is nothing more beautiful than the view, which I can admire every day during my work at 2970m. For 30 years I have been working in the revolving restaurant on the Schilthorn and I can't imagine anything else. During all these years a lot has changed. In the past, my job included not only service but also summit maintenance, when I had to shovel snow before and after work.
Over all these years the joy of working, especially the contact with our guests, has always remained. If my guests are satisfied, then so am I. This motto has always accompanied me through my daily work.

Toni Linder - the snowmaker
After driving a piste grooming machine for eight years, I decided to start making snow rather than pushing it around on the slopes. As head of snowmaking, I'm now responsible for producing the perfect snow for the pistes in the Mürren – Schilthorn ski region. By day and by night, my and my team's job is to ensure the right amount and best quality of snow for pristine ski slopes against the backdrop of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

My colleagues often have to radio me to tell me to stop working for a moment so I can enjoy the breathtaking sunset.

Marcel Duppenthaler – the yodelling cabin operator
Mürren has always been my home away from home – I came here to ski and hike as a child. After 20 years working for the Swiss Federal Railways, I saw a job ad for a cabin operator at Schilthorn Cableway and applied. I got the job! The work is extremely varied, and no two days are alike. It's interesting too – not least on account of the many different ticket types and interactions with guests from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. You have to be a 'people person' to do this job!

What Schilthorn Cableway means to me...
A company that transports people to one of the most beautiful peaks on Earth. I enjoy visiting the USA and when American friends come to see me, an excursion to the Schilthorn is a must-do. The view of over 200 mountain peaks is without equal.
All four cableway sections have their charms, and I particularly enjoy working on the transport cableway.

My memorable moment at Schilthorn Cableway...
When a technical defect meant that we had to fly our guests from Birg back down to the valley by helicopter. It was particularly challenging in terms of passenger care and communication.
My personal memorable moment has to be when I'm alone in the cabin on the first journey of the day – I can't stop myself from yodelling out loud!

Nicole Krause – Service with a smile at sunrise and sunset
There's no getting around me – I am in a great strategic position to offer a tasty culinary experience to our guests at almost 3000 m.a.s.l. – at the Schilthorn-Piz Gloria Take Away! I came to Mürren from Thüringen (Germany) in 2011. My first question was: "Where do I park my car?" In the meantime, I've not just unpacked my bags in this enchanting car-free mountain village – I feel really at home here.

Yong-Chul Krauer – Local skills on the summit
Having grown up in Interlaken, I've been familiar with the Schilthorn since childhood. The altitude and logistics of working at around 3000 m.a.s.l. are challenging. My daily reward is the stunning mountains and interactions with our guests. I see myself as a restaurant professional and team player. It's always busy and very demanding, but we've been able to optimize processes thanks to the restaurant renovations

Alan Ramsay – The Scot on the Mountain
"The Scot on the Mountain" – this has become my nickname over the years and I like it. After 20 years working in hospitality in Mürren, I made the leap to Schilthorn Cableway. The climate in the Alps reminds me of Scotland. Sometimes harsh, sometimes mild – and always with fascinating landscapes. And let's not forget James Bond. He may be 'very British', but his presence on the Piz Gloria gets this Scot's heart racing too!
